Special Lockdown Events
Here you will find information and links for our exciting themed days at Copthorne.
Wednesday 17th June 2020 was our special art day. Click below to see the activities planned by our Art subject leader Mrs Fletcher.
Science day is on Friday 26th June 2020. Have a go at some of the exciting investigations. You might even dress up as a Scientist! Don't forget those photographs on Tapestry and ClassDojo.
Forest Schools Day
Forest Schools day is Wednesday 1st July. Mrs Self, one of our Forest Schools leaders has planned some lovely activities that will get you out in the fresh air and learning in an outdoor environment. Get your old clothes on, it is time to explore! Upload those photos to ClassDojo and Tapestry for us to see.
Ahoy me hearties, Friday 3rd July is Copthorne's Pirate day but watch out, you don't want to have to walk the plank! So, grab your flag, batten down the hatches and join the Copthorne Crew on our exciting Pirate Day planned by Miss Edwards! We are looking forward to seeing your photos!
Copthorne's Got Talent
This week (6th-10th July) is all about showing off your talents! Are you a super baker, singer, artist, magician, dancer or comedian? It is time to show us your super talent via photo or video clip (on Tapestry and ClassDojo). Your talents will be judged by three judges and then prizes awarded for the best entries! You have until Friday 10th July to send your entries in for judging. Good luck!
Check out our school Facebook page to find out who won!
Thank you to everyone that entered!
Virtual Sports Week
The 6th - 10th July is also our virtual sports week. Mrs Bayliss will set you two sporting challenges each day for you to complete and record your score on your score sheet. You will earn points for your Planet Team (you will receive a text message reminding you of your team) and certificates will also be awarded (see the information sheet below).
We just love our beach day at Copthorne so it wouldn't be fair to end the year without one! Mrs Allen has planned the activities for this one and we have everything crossed for Mr Sunshine showing his beautiful face! Get that swim gear on, suncream at the ready and don't forget the ice-cream! Looking forward to seeing the photos from this!
Virtual School Trip
It would be so unfair to end the school year without a school trip! Wednesday 15th July is trip day! Obviously this is going to be with a difference but we can still have fun knowing we are all going to the same place and seeing the same things! Mrs Fletcher and Miss Edwards have planned this one for you and they said you must not forget your smelly egg sandwiches! In the words of Mrs Self...'Are we there yet?!'
Break Up Day!
Friday 17th July is the last day of the school year and what a year it has been! We hope you can join us in the break up day activities planned for you and look forward to seeing your photographs on ClassDojo and Tapestry. Have a fabulous Summer everyone!
