Friends of Copthorne
In 2019/20 through fayres, nativity photographs and book and brekkie we helped raise £2005.30 for the school. This allowed us to resource reading areas in each class and role play areas in EYFS. As well as that we updated the Forest Schools and Gardening resources. We also paid for buses to bring the cost of the school trips down.
Friends of Copthorne Group
Any parent/carer of a child at Copthorne Community Infant School can join our Friends of Copthorne Group. We are dedicated to establishing strong links between home and school. We are mainly a fundraising group. Here to help organise events and come up with new ideas to raise school funds which will, in turn, benefit all the children who attend Copthorne. The money is spent on all different things, from resources in the classroom to subsidising trips, so all help is greatly received. As a parent, you may also request to see our school fund and how this money is being used.
The events we help out with vary from highly organised Christmas and Summer Fayres to more informal activities such as non-uniform days and competitions.
The school highly values the home/school partnership and we want to continue to develop the free flow of information that takes place in an atmosphere of understanding and openness. We always welcome new members to join us and bring with them lots of new ideas and inspiration!
Information about when meetings are taking place will be sent out to parents via text message and or will be on the newsletter. There is no obligation to devote a minimum amount of time to the PTA, Some parents like to attend every meeting and others just like to help out at events when needed. You choose the amount of time you are able to give us. We are grateful for all the support we can get.
