Sports Competitions 

We love to take part in Sports Competitions at Copthorne School.

Great team effort in this competition from Copthorne! We were placed in 3rd and 4th place. Well done!

We only went and came first!!! The team demonstrated outstanding teamwork and were very supportive of other teams too! Go Copthorne!

The children worked their socks off at this competition! We were placed 6th overall.

 Copthorne were awarded the Bronze Award as part of their Champion School initiative. This award recognises schools who have provided the most competitive opportunities for their students to take part in sport against other schools. Well done Team Copthorne!

Our Athletics Team 

The children worked brilliantly together to represent our school. They took part in standing long jump, chest pass, speed bounce and then even had bags of energy left for the different relays they raced in. They made us super proud because they never gave up and we were even awarded a Determination Award.

Our Handball Teams

We took two teams to the Handball competition tonight and wow they did us proud! We were placed 3rd and 6th in the competition.  The children showed great sportsmanship and were seen shaking hands with the other teams at the end of the matches.

 Copthorne were awarded the Gold Award and named the Champion Infant School in the Amber Valley area. This award recognises schools who have provided the most competitive opportunities for their students to take part in sport against other schools.
